2019 Chardonnay by Derwent Estate

This classic Chardonnay by Derwent Estate won the Trophy for best Chardonnay at the 2020 Tasmanian Wine Show.

Grown on a north-facing bank of the Derwent River in southern Tasmania, this cool-climate vineyard is widely recognised for producing some of the best chardonnay fruit in Australia including supplying the famous Penfolds Yattarna 13 years in a row.

2019 Chardonnay Tasting notes: Pure delicate fruits are supported by subtle oak. Fine acid line, leaving a creamy mouthfeel.

Bouquet of white peach, nutmeg/spice, butterscotch. Palate: white peach, citrus fruits, oatmeal.

Enjoy with: raw fish or lightly cooked shellfish - crab, prawns. Also pairs well with chicken and risotto dishes.
